Manchester United 2024/25 adidas Home Kit

adidas has launched the Manchester United home kit for the 2024/25 Premier League, UEFA Europa League, EFL Cup, and FA Cup seasons. It is designed to captivate fans under the iconic lights of Old Trafford with a dynamic blend of red shades that create a unique glow effect.

Inspired by the classic shirts worn by the Busby Babes, the new design incorporates elements reminiscent of the ‘fluorescent’ materials used in the past to improve visibility under floodlights. The original rayon fabric appeared to shift shades depending on how the light hit it.

For the Manchester United adidas 2024/25 home jersey, a bold gradient of red tones runs from light to dark down the main body of the shirt, creating an impression of ever-changing color.

A striking feature of the new Manchester United shirt is the bright, flame-like red insert along the side panels of the jersey and shorts, a color never before seen on a Manchester United home kit. This element creates a distinctive line that stands out against the stadium backdrop as players move.

The Manchester United 24/25 adidas home kit is finished with a seasonal crew neck and features the iconic adidas three-stripes on the shoulders, along with the adidas logo and sponsor logos in contrasting white. A tribute to the club’s rich heritage is included with a red devil sign-off on the front of the accompanying black socks.

The on-field version of the jersey is equipped with HEAT.RDY technology, which uses advanced materials to enhance airflow and keep players cool. The fan version features AEROREADY technology, designed to wick away sweat and keep the body dry.

Sam Handy, SVP of Product and Design at adidas commented: “The color red is consistently fundamental to the club’s DNA. There have been many different expressions of it over the years and, for 24/25, we wanted to do something a bit different. We’ve drawn inspiration from shirts that Manchester United experimented with from 1952-57 as floodlights were introduced to stadiums. These were fantastic early examples of creative design in matchwear and were worn by some of the club’s most legendary players. The color-shifting appearance of these was a big influence in this season’s modern expression of the home kit, designed to capture attention from all angles on pitch.”
