The Equatorial Guinea national football team will unveil new kit designs by Macron at the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations, as part of a recently announced 4-year partnership between the apparel company and the Federación Ecuatoguineana de Fútbol.
The home jersey is red with white and green accents. The away kit is white with blue details, and the third option is blue with white. The away and third kits feature a shaded band down the center in the red, white and green of the Equatoguinean flag.
All three kits incorporate the lightning bolt motif, nodding to the team’s nickname “Nzalang Nacional” (National Lightning). The thunderbolt symbol appears repeatedly in different sizes and shades on each shirt, along with the words “NZALANG NACIONAL” across the outer back neck.
The inside neck is customized with the logo of the Equatoguinean Football Federation, the Macron logo, and the phrase “Designed in Bologna,” highlighting the brand’s Italian roots.
The kits are made using Eco Fabric, a sustainable polyester made from recycled plastic bottles. Approximately 13 half-liter bottles are repurposed to make each shirt.
