To celebrate its 130th anniversary, FC Basel 1893 has unveiled a 2023/24 special edition third kit that combines refinement, style, elegance and dedicated graphics. The jersey is designed and produced by Macron, the technical partner of the “Rotblau”, and features an innovative embossed pattern that creates a 3D effect with empty and full spaces.
The new FC Basel 1893 130th Anniversary shirt has a sophisticated, knitted polo neck with a button closure and a ‘total black’ color with gold details on the sleeve cuffs and bottom hem. The graphics of the kit are inspired by the ‘Baslerstab’, the bishop’s crosier that is the symbol of Basel and that also adorns the sleeves of the club’s home shirt.
The ‘Baslerstab’ is represented by sharp lines that form thick diagonal stripes using an “embossed” technique that alternates empty and full areas to create a 3D look. The graphic covers the front of the shirt and also the back, but with larger proportions.
The inside neck label displays the FC Basel 1893 cresr, the Macron Hero and the words ‘Designed in Bologna’, confirming that the garment is conceived, designed and produced at Macron’s Bologna HQ. The Macron Hero is in gold on the right side of the chest while a retro version of the FC Basel 1893 badge is in gold on a black background on the left. The year of the club’s foundation, 1893, is printed in gold on the kit’s nape.
FC Basel 1893 debuted its 23/24 Macron special edition third kit during Sunday’s Swiss Super League win over Yverdon.
