Castore and Athletic Club of the Spanish LaLiga have teamed up to create a special kit that commemorates 125 years of the club’s history.
The jersey, called ‘Heritage’, reflects the Bilbao club’s unique identity and values that have been passed down from generation to generation of players and supporters. The uniform features a blue shirt and shorts, with red and white socks, inspired by the club’s original away colors.
The blue color scheme has a long tradition in Athletic Club’s history. It was first adopted in the late 1960s, when television broadcasts made it easier to distinguish teams with monochrome kits. Since then, the club has worn blue on many memorable occasions, such as the 1977 UEFA Cup final against Juventus, 2014 Champions League qualification at Rayo Vallecano, and the 1994/95 UEFA Cup clash with Newcastle Utd at San Mames.
The club says that ‘Heritage’ kit is a tribute to the club’s past, present and future, and a symbol of the pride of wearing the Athletic Club badge. It is a jersey that celebrates the club’s uniqueness and legacy in the world of football.
