adidas Football has launched the new Manchester United home kit for the 2023/24 season, drawing inspiration from Manchester’s industrial history.
The Manchester United 23/24 adidas home jersey showcases the red rose, a symbol of Manchester, in a geometric pattern that reflects the bridge that connects Manchester and Salford. The bridge was built during the industrial revolution and represents Manchester’s influence and resilience.
The shirt celebrates the city’s culture and heritage, as well as the fans’ loyalty and passion for the club. It expresses the club’s timeless ambition to succeed, forever and ever.
The main color of the kit is red, with white accents on the club crest and adidas logo. The collar features the club colors of red, white, and black in stripes.
Inigo Turner, Design Director at adidas Football commented: “The undying support and connection that Manchester United fans have with their club and city is unique, and for this season’s iteration of the home jersey, we’ve drawn inspiration from just that by celebrating the city’s industrial heritage. The red rose is a symbol that evokes a great sense of pride in the people of Manchester, with the club inextricably linked to its rich history.
The design really does champion the people and city that make Manchester United what it is today – and we can’t wait to see fans and players united as one wearing the jersey, in what is set to be an important season for the club.”
Manchester United’s 2023/24 adidas primary shirt is made with HEAT.RDY technology for on-field performance, and AEROREADY technology for replica versions. Both technologies use sweat-wicking or absorbent materials to keep players comfortable and dry.
The jersey is also made with 100% recycled materials, as part of adidas’ commitment to end plastic waste.
The new home kit will debut on July 12th, when Manchester United face Leeds United FC in Norway.
