The new home kit for Bulgaria 2023/23 has been unveiled by Macron. The shirt celebrates a symbol of Bulgaria’s past, with golden accents that mark the 100th anniversary of the Bulgarian Football Federation, which was established in 1923. The kit is also a message of sustainability and environmental respect, as it is made from Eco-Fabric, a 100% polyester fabric that recycles 13 plastic bottles for each shirt.
The shirt is white with a knitted polo collar and sleeve cuffs that have golden edges. The back neck has a custom design, with a white and gold background, the logo of the national team, the Macron logo, and the words ‘Designed in Bologna’, which show that the Italian brand’s headquarters is where every garment is created, designed, and developed. On the right chest, there is a golden Macron Hero, and on the left chest, there is the emblem of the Bulgarian national team.
The shirt has a tone-on-tone embossed graphic on the front and sleeves, which is inspired by the floor of the Great Basilica of Pliska, one of the biggest basilicas in medieval South Eastern Europe. The Great Basilica is one of the symbols of Bulgaria’s history, as well as a representation of the country’s Christianisation on the Balkan Peninsula. On the outer back neck, there is a gold BFS logo that commemorates the centenary. The kit is completed by green shorts with a ‘basketball style’ and white and gold details on the border of the legs, and red socks with a gold upper border and a white stripe in the middle.
The shirt has a Slim Fit and the main fabric is Eco Softlock. The Eco Micromesh back panel and Eco Mesh inserts ensure that the garment is light and breathable.
