Austria 2022/23 PUMA Home and Away Kits

PUMA and the Österreichischer Fußball-Bund (ÖFB) have released the Austria 2022/23 home and away kits. The jerseys’ designs cleverly combine the football federation’s crest with nostalgic and innovative elements .

The Austria 22/23 PUMA home jersey is based on the motto “We are the core” while staying true to the country’s footballing roots. Historical jerseys and success stories that live on in the hearts of Austrian fans served as inspiration for the new design.

The result was a simple, contemporary interpretation of a past iconic shirt – the kit that Austria wore on June 21, 1978 when it defeated neighboring Germany for the first time in forty-seven years.
The match has since been called Das Wunder von Córdoba (the Miracle of Córdoba) of FIFA World Cup 1978.

The motto of the Austria 2022/23 away jersey is “We are the future” and refers to the goal of brilliantly merging traditional football with elements of other dynamic sports. The shirt is in Austria’s traditional away white with a v-neck that has a front insert.

A red and white bordered hexagon on the front of the kits encloses black player numbers. The ÖFB crest and PUMA No. 1 logo are placed at the top of the graphic. An Austrian flag is printed on the signoff area of the jersey.
