Brentford Football Club have released their Umbro away kit for their 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons. The Bees will wear their 2021/23 home jersey for a second year during their upcoming English Premier League, EFL Cup, and FA Cup campaigns.
According to Brentford FC their 2022/24 alternate shirt’s light blue look is based on their away kits for the 1980s and early 1990s. It uses the club’s classic castle crest that was introduced in 1975 to celebrate their home ground until 2020, Griffin Park. The badge was worn until the 1992/93 season.
The design of the crest is based on Griffin Park being the venue of Brentford’s run of twenty one home wins during the 1929/30 season. The stadium was often referred to as a fortress during and after the record-breaking series.
The Brentford FC 2022/24 away jersey uses a bespoke, modern look from Umbro. A melange fabric is used with dark blue, oversized sleeve cuffs. Brenford’s inclusivity slogan of “Bee Together” is printed on the inside neckline. A bee is placed out the nape in recognition of the team’s nickname.
