The San Marino men’s national football team has been wearing its recently released 2022/23 match range in its ongoing UEFA Nations League campaign.
The three jersey collection is provided by Italian sportswear firm Erreà Sport to the San Marino Football Association (FSGC) as part of UEFA’s Kit Assistance Scheme. The arrangement furnishes smaller European federations with technical gear.
According to a release from Erreà :
The San Marino national team’s 2022/23 “home” kit has a sky-blue background, on which appear stylised depictions of the three Towers (Guaita, Cesta and Montale), a symbol of Europe’s oldest Republic. A special feature is the crew neck collar, on the inside of which the backneck is customised with the words “l’antica terra della libertà” (the ancient land of freedom), whilst, in an effort to provide the product with greater breathability, the side inserts have a white mesh, the same color as the sleeve ends. The Erreà logo appears on the right-hand side of the chest and the Football Association’s badge is on the left. The kit is rounded off with sky blue shorts and socks.
The away and third kits have the same graphic effect in matching shades, which appears in blue on the away strip and white on the third. The pattern is a clear tribute to the frescos in the Council Chamber of the Public Palace. The crew neck collar is the same, as is the wording on the backneck, and the sides have the same mesh but in sky blue for both shirts.
