Borussia Mönchengladbach 2022/23 PUMA Home Kit

Borussia Mönchengladbach debuted its 2022/23 PUMA home kit during Saturday’s German Bundesliga season-closing win against Hoffenheim.

The club says that the jersey combines the “club’s identity with a modern touch” by taking its inspiration from the Borussia Mönchengladbach home shirts of the 1970s and 1980s. The period marked BMG’s most successful period with five Bundesliga , one DFB-Pokal, and one UEFA Cup (now the Europa League) titles.

The kit has a white base on a new crewneck PUMA design. The vertical black and green stripes of the Die Fohlen (The Colts) 70s and 80s jerseys run along the front center.

“Puma and Borussia Mönchengladbach have enjoyed a successful history together, which is reflected in our kit designs. We are proud to have been able to live up to our ethos of combining modern and classic elements together with Borussia, and we are already looking forward to the coming season,” said Martin Ulber, Puma head of sports marketing in central Europe.

“We are very satisfied with the new design of the home kit from Puma. On the one hand, it harks back to the club’s golden era, but on the other hand, the kit’s modern and fashionable design really meets the tastes of lots of our fans,” commented Guido Uhle, representative of Borussia.
