Palmeiras 2022/23 PUMA Home Kit

Reigning Copa Libertadores champion Palmeiras has unveiled its 2022/23 home kit from PUMA Brasil.

The club nicknamed Verdão (Big Green) debuted the new jersey in match action during Wednesday evening’s Campeonato Paulista win over Ponte Preta.

The dark green shirt was released using the theme “Quando Surge o Palmeiras” (When Palmeiras Surge). It commemorates the 80th Anniversary of the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A team 1942 Paulista Championship. The title is called “Arrancada Heroica” and remains a fundamental part of Palmeiras history.

The Palmeiras 2022/23 PUMA home kit features a sublimated print of palm leaves on its lower front. These leaves represent the rebirth of the club in 1942 and a symbol of victory and eternal life.

The jersey’s the white v-neck and sleeve cuffs are based on the the first uniform used by Palmeiras following its renaming from Palestra Italia in 1942.
