New Major League Soccer franchise Charlotte FC revealed its adidas home kit for the 2022 and 2023 seasons on Thursday night.
The jersey introduces a new v-neck shirt design from adidas in light blue and white. The colors are combined with the black on the neckline and sleeve cuffs. They are also used as the primary colors of the NFL’s Carolina Panthers. Both clubs are owned by billionaire David Tepper.
Charlotte FC’s initials are printed on the kit’s outside upper back while a design that combines the states of North Carolina and South Carolina is placed on the jocktag area.
Charlotte FC President Nick Kelly commented: “As our fans look forward to the debut of Charlotte FC in 2022, the new primary kit represents the bold and progressive philosophy of the Club and embodies the pride and passion of our community. This kit symbolizes our mission to unite fans across the Carolinas as we make history in MLS and in soccer in the United States.”
Charlotte FC kicks off its 2022 MLS season against LA Galaxy on March 5th at Bank of America Stadium.
