PSV Eindhoven 2021/22 PUMA Away Kit

Published on

Last season’s Dutch Eredivisie runner-up PSV Eindhoven launched its 2021/22 PUMA away kit on Friday.

PSV’s new alternate jersey is based on the purple alternate shirts worn by the KNVB and Eredivisie championship teams of the 1996/96 and 1996/97 seasons respectively.

The club says that the kits take the best elements of the 90s jerseys and improves upon them with modern design details. These include an ‘Astral Aura’ base with ‘Green Glimmer’ accents on the shoulders and neck area. Black wave effects that could not be created on the football shirts of the mid-1990s run along the front of the jersey.

1990s-born PSV players Cody Gakpo, Philipp Max and Olivier Bescagli appeared in a 2021/22 alternate reveal video that included match footage of 1995 to 1997 club stars such as Ronaldo, Phillip Coco and Luc Nilis.
