La Federación Costarricense de Fútbol (FEDEFUTBOL) has released a limited edition jersey to commemorate its 100th Anniversary.
The jersey is furnished by the association’s technical partner New Balance Football. It was worn by Costa Rica’s women’s national team during Sunday’s 3-1 win over regional rivals Guatemala. The match marked FEDEFUTBOL’s Centennial and was a replay of the Costa Rica first ever international in 1921.
The Costa Rica 100th Anniversary jersey is a modern interpretation of the shirt worn by the Lost Ticos team of 1921. The kit is navy blue as was the case a century ago. It carries golden detailing including New Balance logos, and the text “COSTA RICA” on its nape. The jersey is matched with white shorts and red socks.
