Japan FA 100th Anniversary adidas Kit

Published on

adidas has released a limited edition retro-styled kit celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Japan Football Association (JFA).

The three buttoned, polo collared shirt is based on the sky blue kit worn by the first ever Japanese national team in 1930 throughout the decade that followed.

The oversized Japanese flag of the jersey that Japan wore at the 1936 Summer Olympic Games is used in place of the current JFA crest to maintain the throwback look of the kit.

The boxed shirt will be worn by Samurai Blue against Jamaica on June 3rd in the Kirin Challenge Cup. The Japan men’s Under-24 team will don the kit against Ghana’s U-24s on June 5th.
