Arsenal Football Club today released its adidas home kit for its 2021/22 English Premier League, EFL Cup, FA Cup and, possibly, European campaigns.
According to the Gunners the jersey takes its inspiration from the iconic Arsenal away shirt worn when the club won the 1971 Football League First Division and FA Cup titles. As such it uses a yellow based with navy blue at its sleeve cuffs and rounded neckline. It also uses the Arsenal Cannon in place of the current club crest to replicate the look of the 1970/71 alternate shirt.
A retro-styled “Arsenal for Everyone” print is placed on the inside neckline of the kit. The club says that the graphic is “a celebration of the diversity of the Arsenal family.”
The Arsenal 21/22 adidas away kit will make its debut during Sunday’s Women’s FA Cup tie against Crystal Palace. The men’s team will wear the uniform for their final Premier League road match of the season at Palace on May 19th.
