Botswana 2021/22 Umbro Home, Away and Third Kits

Umbro South Africa and the Botswana Football Association have released the home, away and third kits to be worn by the federation’s men’s and women’s national teams over the next year.

The three Botswana 2021/22 jersey designs created by Umbro “were inspired by fan submissions and incorporate various elements of Botswanan iconography.”

According to Umbro South Africa: The home jersey features black stripes against a background of traditional sky blue, capped with white sleeves – a visual reimagining of the Botswana flag.

The a way kit is strikingly simple in its minimalism, teaming black horizontal stripes with a crisp white base.

Echoing the striped silhouettes of the home and away kits, the alternate (third) jersey features a black-on-black stripe building into a watermarked zebra created by the negative space; a subtle nod to Botswana’s national animal and the team’s namesake.

The Botswana men’s senior national team debuted their 2021/22 Umbro third kit during recent AFCON 2021 qualifying losses to Algeria and Zimbabwe.
