Ten-time Argentine Primera División Club champion Club Atlético Vélez Sarsfield debuted its 2021 Kappa home kit during Sunday’s 1-7 loss to Boca Juniors.
The Buenos Aires team nicknamed Fortín (The Fort) is donning its familiar home white with navy blue details for its latest primary jersey.
The shirt features Vélez Sarsfield’s iconic chest chevron along with side stripes in the red and green of the Italian national flag. The colors also appear on the inside neckline. They recognize Vélez’ ties to the Buenos Aires Italian immigrant community of the early 1900s. Dark blue pinstripes run along the front of the kit.
The new Vélez Sarsfield shirt uses Kappa’s Kombat 2021 soccer jersey technology on a design with a small single-buttoned placket and a Henley collar.
