Partly owned by legendary midfielder David Beckham, Inter Miami CF dropped its 2021/22 adidas away jersey on Saturday. The red, pink and bright blue shirt is called “La Palma” (The Palm).
According to Inter Miami CF:
La Palma jersey represents the deep bond between the fans and the team. The primarily black jersey with pink accents features a palm pattern as a symbol of unity, triumph, longevity, victory, royalty and honor.
Additionally, the herons on the jersey are an embodiment of unification and a core element of the Club’s identity, and the blue color inside the collar and the trimming on the inside of the bottom of the jersey is a subtle tribute to Biscayne Bay, which lines and connects South Florida.
Similar to previous jersey design elements, La Palma features the Club’s mantra, “Freedom to Dream,” this time positioned on the outside of the neck on the back side of the jersey. This serves as a testament to Inter Miami’s fans’ freedom to dream.
Inter Miami’s 2021 adidas kits are currently unsponsored. MLS allows front and sleeve sponsors on club jerseys.
The Inter Miami “White Heron” home jersey launched for the club’s inaugural season in 2020 will be worn again for the South Florida team’s 2021 Major League Soccer and US Open Cup runs.
