This year’s Japanese J1 League runners-up Gamba Osaka has unveiled its 2021 Umbro home and away kits.
The jerseys use bespoke modern v-neck designs from Umbro Japan in Gamba’s customary home black and blue vertical stripes and away white.
The shirts were released using the concept “Gamba is ONE” to celebrate the unity within the club and its ties to the community in the city of Suita and Osaka Prefecture.
Both kits feature a series of diagonal lines in Gamba Osaka’s black and blue on their fronts. The lines also appear on the back of the primary jersey. They are intended to represent the impact of everyone involved with the team throughout its history of success that includes J1 League, J. League Cup, Emperor’s Cup and AFC Champions League titles.
Sponsor logos are printed at several locations on the kits. Only that of primary shirt sponsor and team owner Panasonic will appear on the 2021 AFC Champions League versions of the jerseys in accordance with competition regulations.
