AFC Ajax have released their 2020/21 adidas third kit that will be worn during next season’s European campaign.
The reigning Dutch Eredivisie champions’ new 20/21 European jersey celebrates the fiftieth anniversary of the Amsterdam club’s 1971 European Cup (now the UEFA Champions League) title.
The team went on to win the competition for the next two seasons as Ajax emerged as Europe’s preeminent football club of the early 1970s.
The commemorative vibe of the AFC Ajax 20/21 third shirt are its golden details that include its adidas shoulder stripes and crest. The date on the club’s 1971 European Cup win is printed on the inside neckline while laurels with “50” at their center are embroidered under the badge. Wide black bands based on Ajax’ famous home kit red center stripe run along the front and back of the jersey.
AFC Ajax will debut their new adidas European kit when they meet Red Bull Salzburg on Saturday, August 22nd in a pre-season friendly.
