AS Monaco 2020/21 Kappa Away Kit

Published on

Eight-time French Ligue 1 champions AS Monaco debuted their 2020/21 Kappa away in their pre-season match with Standard Liege on Wednesday.

The Kappa KOMBAT PRO jersey continues to celebrate the elegant diagonal designed by Princess Grace for the club 60 years ago. The same look is used for ASM’s 20/21 home jersey.

Kappa and AS Monaco wanted to revisit the blue and yellow away kits worn by the club at the end of the 1990s and, in particular, the 1999-2000 shirt worn when the team won its seventh French championship.

The Kappa Omini logo appears on the kit’s shoulders with small yellow triangular cuts at the end of the sleeves. The jersey has a two-tone semi-open collar reminiscent of the 1999/00 shirt worn by the likes of Rafa Marquez, John Arne Riise, David Trezeguet and Ludovic Giuly.

AS Monaco says that their 2020/21 away jersey illustrates the historical link between AS Monaco and Kappa. It also highlights the willingness to work closely together to design jerseys that combine the brand’s DNA, elegance and technology with the rich history and strong identity of the Principality’s club.
