Indoor and outdoor training continues for amateur and professional athletes worldwide despite the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. We have been doing so in some of the latest training gear from PUMA’s Spring / Summer 2020 collection. Here is our World Exclusive look at some of the must haves from the sportswear and shoes experts.
Runner
ID Thermo R+ Men’s Tee
PUMA has released a Runner ID training
collection geared towards nighttime training. While visibility is the dark is a
core element of the range it also includes some of the latest in
moisture-wicking and cooling fabric technology.
The Thermo R+ Tee epitomizes the Runner ID
collection. It is a cleverly designed crewneck shirt suited for a multitude of
activities. Although ultralightweight, the Thermo R+ Tee is designed to last
thanks to flatlock double stitching throughout. It is extremely smooth and
comfortable on the skin and is the type of shirt that you do not want to take
off.
PUMA used its famed dryCell material for the
shirt to wick moisture quickly from it. The new Thermo R+ print is applied to
the upper to middle back area along the spine for an extra cooling effect. It
also creates a cool raised effect seen on the outside of the shirt. We have
seen this also done on some of PUMA Football’s professional grade soccer
jerseys. The combination works remarkably well as the body heats up during
exercise. You remain cool and your sweat is gone seemingly within seconds!
PUMA’s Runner ID reflective strips are placed
on the sleeves, upper back, and lower front right of the Thermo R+ Men’s Tee.
The brands iconic Big Cat logo is also reflective. The strips are subtle and
add a cool daytime accent to the shirt. However, they are all business at night
and reflect car lights so brightly that drivers cannot miss you even in total
darkness.
Runner
ID Men’s Jacket
The PUMA Runner ID Men’s Jacket is the perfect
complement to the Runner ID Thermo R+ Men’s Tee on cooler or rainy training
days outside.
PUMA’s designers have included reflective
taping on the front, back and sleeves of the jacket to ensure that your body is
seen in motion in low light conditions.
Its functionality does not end there however!
The PUMA Runner ID Men’s Jacket will keep you dry as your sweat thanks to its
dryCELL moisture-wicking fabric. It also has well-placed mesh ventilation
openings across its back and chest via subtle horizontal slits.
The jacket has a stellar hood with a zipper
that comes up to the chin area to keep your head warm and dry in colder
conditions. Fitted cuffs and a matching waistband with embossed PUMA logos keep
the top in place and snug on the moving body.
The PUMA Runner ID Men’s Jacket is completed
with well-placed side pockets for keeping valuables and / or your hands warm
when needed.
All the very functional elements of the jacket
are put together in an eye-catching design and brilliant black and neon yellow
colorway gathers admirers anywhere it is worn. It may very well be the
quintessential training jacket of 2020 so far.
