Popular Rio de Janeiro side Fluminense Football Club have revealed their 2020/21 home and away kits from Umbro Brasil.
The bespoke jerseys celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the first of Fluminense’s now five Campeonato Brasileiro Série A titles in from 1970.
The Fluminense 2020/21 home shirt features the club’s icon burnt red, green and white stripes on shiny polyester fabric. A tonal pattern with a shading effect runs throughout the jersey’s body. The rounded neckline and sleeve cuffs of the kit are white. A v-shaped opening splits the collar at the front of the shirt.
Fluminense’s 20/21 Umbro away kit uses the same Umbro template as the primary shirt. It is mainly white with burnt red and green pinstripe pairs on its front. Flu’ dark red and green add detail at the collar and sleeves cuffs.
Fluminense and Umbro developed two commemorative stamps that are used on the outside neck and jocktag areas of the kits. The neckline graphic combines a stylized Umbro diamond next and Flu’s shield.
Text referencing the year of Fluminense’s founding, 1902 runs at the bottom of the stamp.
The 1970 Serie A title 50th Anniversary stamp is a hexagon with a large number fifty and a silhouette of the Brasileirão trophy in it.
