Yokohama FC are back in Japan’s J1 League for the second time in their twenty-one year history after winning last season’s J2 title.
The first supporter-owned professional soccer team in Japan, Yokohama FC are wearing gear from domestic sportswear firm Soccer Junky for their 2020 campaign.
The club’s new home kit has a clever design that is centered around tonal X shapes on its front and back. The are meant to recognize Yokohama FC’s ties to its community and fans along with the club’s evolution. A series of horizontal stripes on the jersey create emphasis for the Xs.
The Yokohama FC 2020 Soccer Junky home shirt is in the team’s usual sky blue. It is matched with white shorts and dark blue socks.
Yokohama FC currently has former Japanese internationals Shunsuke Nakamura (regarded as a Celtic FC legend), Daisuke Matsui and 53-year old striker Kazuyoshi “Kazu” Miura on their roster.
