Club Nacional 2020/21 Umbro Home Kit

Defending and forty seven time Uruguayan Primera División champions Club Nacional de Football have launched their 2020/21 Umbro home kit.

The jersey uses a bespoke modern, rounded neck design by Umbro Uruguay that celebrates some of the greatest moments in the Montevideo club’s storied 120 year history.

Its red and blue sleeve cuffs are based on those of the Nacional home shirt worn when the club won the 1988 Intercontinenal Cup (now the FIFA Club World Cup). The rubberized crest of the shirt has the same design as that used when the team won the 1980 Intercontinental Cup.

“CLUB NACIONAL DE FUTBOL” is embossed on the  inside waistline of the kit. “QUE LOS LLEVAN ADENTRO COMO LO LLEVO YO” (THEY CARRY THEM INSIDE AS I HAVE) appears on the inside neckline.

Lastly, a series of phrases and words from Club Nacional’s club cultures are woven into the fabric at the front of their 2020/21 home kit.

 Nacional are expected to debut their new home uniform in Uruguayo 1ª División action when they host Club Atlético Peñarol on April 1st, 2020.
