January Transfers in Their New Clubs’ Classic Kits

The January 2020 football transfer window saw a slew of new faces in new places as several English Premier League stalwarts including former Spurs star Christian Eriksen moved to Inter Milan. 

Meanwhile, the likes of Bruno Fernandes (Sporting Lisbon to Manchester United) and Steven Bergwijn (PSV to Tottenham) headed to the EPL.

Major Legue Soccer was in the mix as well as Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez departed Sevilla FC to LA Galaxy and iconic veteran striker Zlatan Ibrahimović ended two years in at the Southern California club by signing for AC Milan.

Bleacher Report Football has chronicled some the January’s biggest soccer transfers via a brilliant set of pictures showing signings’ in some of their new clubs’ classic home kits.

The jerseys in question are from the 1990s and 2000s when football shirts mimicked men’s fashion with oversized silhouettes. Nevertheless the series provides a great combination of the new and old in the ever-changing world of The Beautiful Game.
