Nashville Soccer Club unveiled its first Major League Soccer jersey in franchise history on Saturday night with members of the 2020 roster at the club’s reveal party in front of a capacity crowd at Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville.
The gold jersey will serve as Nashville SC’s primary kit for the club’s inaugural season in MLS. It will be available at World Soccer Shop, Lovell Soccer, Pro:Direct Soccer, UK Soccer Shop and Kitbag.
“Our inaugural home kit in Major League Soccer was designed with the City of Nashville, our community, partners, fans and team at the core. Today’s event was the perfect celebration to all those elements coming together as one,” said Nashville SC Chief Executive Officer Ian Ayre.
“We chose a relatively uncomplicated design to establish our arrival in an authentic, bold kit that celebrates our club colors and our ‘Boys in Gold’. We completed our jersey by adding Renasant Bank as our official jersey sponsor and a partner who’s always eager to innovate and find creative ways to share our MLS story and make our city proud,” concluded Ayre.
The design of the 2020 home kit pays homage to NSC’s first season in MLS as well as the State of Tennessee. The electric gold jersey with acoustic blue trim is on full display as the club’s official colors are transformed from logo to kit.
The club’s crest, which was inspired by the beat of Nashville, the rhythm of the game, and the sonic qualities from the city of Nashville, is displayed above the heart.
Across the chest in blue lettering reads “Renasant” the club’s official jersey sponsor and banking partner. The inside neck tape on the primary jersey is designed as a repeating pattern displaying the “N” in the club’s logo, creating a soundwave design.
“We are thrilled to partner with Nashville SC in their inaugural season in Major League Soccer,” said Renasant Bank Middle Tennessee President, John Bearden. “As the excitement builds in anticipation of the first match, the jersey launch marks an important milestone in the growth of the club. Both Nashville SC and Renasant expect to make a significant impact in this community, and we look forward to a successful season and future together.”
The primary jock tag honors both the State of Tennessee and commemorates the club’s inaugural season with the star arrangement from the Tennessee State Flag. The three stars represent the three geographically and distinct Grand Divisions of Tennessee (East Tennessee, Middle Tennessee, and West Tennessee).
