Reissue: Arsenal 1991/93 ‘Bruised Banana’ adidas Away Kit
adidas Originals have dropped a much-anticipated reissue of the Arsenal Football Club 1991-93 away kit.
Fondly called the ‘Bruised Banana’ jersey, the shirt was launched along with several retro sportswear items inspired by the Arsenal adidas training range of the early 1990s.
The 2019 version of the Arsenal 1991/93 away kit is a faithful recreation of the original worn by the likes of Ian Wright, Ray Parlour and Martin Keown almost three decades ago.
It includes the Arsenal crest of the period, the logo of former shirt sponsor JVC, and the adidas Originals logo.
The only difference between the reissued kit and that of 1991 to 1993 is its fit. The new version does use the extremely oversized silhouette of 1990s soccer jersey.
World Soccer Shop, Lovell Soccer, Pro:Direct Soccer, UK Soccer Shop and Kitbag are all expected to carry the reissued Arsenal ‘Bruised Banana’ 1991/93 adidas Originals shirt.
