Borussia Dortmund 110th Anniversary PUMA Kit

German Bundesliga title contenders Borussia Dortmund commemorate the long and proud history of Dortmund’s coal and steel industries with their newly released 110th Anniversary PUMA kit.

The latest BVB 2019/20 shirt was worn for Saturday’s win over Fortuna Dusseldorf. It will not be worn again for match action.

The jersey completely in black – including the Borussia Dortmund crest and the logos shirt commercial partners Evonik, PUMA, Opel. The player name and numbers on the back of the kit are in a faded silver with trim in BVB’s iconic home yellow.

The shirt’s jocktag features “09” to recognize the year of the club’s founding. The individual number of the jersey appears at the bottom of the tag. Only 9,009 of the Borussia Dortmund 110th Anniversary kits will be available for sale.

“The history of our club is inextricably linked with its home region. With the special jersey we want to remember the people who have worked in the coal and steel sector and have always stood up for BVB,” said BVB CEO Hans-Joachim.

He continued, “We see our anniversary as a tribute to the region and the fact that the BVB and the people have had to go through many dark times to work out what you have today. This memory is always with us – and visible on this day – with us.”
