Review: Mainline Menswear Fall / Winter 2019
Mainline Menswear recently launched a US website. It joins their popular UK site as a wonderful option for men’s clothing refreshes ranging from athletic gear to the best of the best in designer clothing.
This is our World Exclusive look at several items from Mainline’s Fall/ Winter 2019 extensive selection that includes hundreds of brands with a skew towards the very popular higher end lines such as Armani, Versace and Lacoste.
Prices at the Mainline Menswear are comparable to those on other similar outlets in the US and UK. However, their selection is wider than you’d fine on other men’s clothing websites. Shipping is via DHL with a tracking number provided via an e-mail from the Mainline team. What was particularly impressive was that our order was shipped and delivered from Leeds, United Kingdom to Atlanta, GA, USA in just ONE DAY. This is the fastest we’ve ever seen for an online delivery and leaves pay service Amazon Prime in the dust!
Our items were received in sealed manufacturer packaging with a clever-looking Mainline Menswear gym bag thrown in for good measure. We shall put it to good use at the gym and at soccer.
The gear that we received from Mainline Menswear were the Nike Full Zip Club Hoodie, Lacoste Sport Long Sleeved – Shirt and BOSS HUGO BOSS Jogging Bottoms.
Nike has modernized its timeless hoodie for 2019 with this offering. It fits true to size in a modern silhouette that will show off your fit physique even in the midst of winter.
Since the top is made of a modern cotton / polyester blend it is not bulky and deceivingly lightweight. At the same time, the Nike Full Zip Club Hoodie keeps you quite warm and comfortable with an ultra-soft sleeve lining on the inside. It has a sturdy zipper that will protect your neck from the cold while its form-fitting hood keeps even a buzzed head warm. The hood is made even more appealing with relatively wide, flattened drawstrings.
The now resurrected Nike logo that includes the brand’s Swoosh and company name is embroidered in white on the left breast to good effect.
Ribbed sleeve cuffs, a matching waistband and a pair of pouch pockets complete both the warming effect and cool factor of the Club Hoodie.
Lacoste Sport Long Sleeved T-Shirt
The Lacoste Sport Long Sleeved T-Shirt is a true classic from the French clothing company. Its designers did a fantastic job of melding a retro tee vibe with modern style.
The throwback effect on the Lacoste Sport Long Sleeved T-Shirt comes from its two-colored, ribbed neckline that would not be out of place in the 1960s. The modern is delivered via woven sleeve taping that runs diagonally along the arms from the wrist to the rear shoulder area. The Lacoste name and trademark chest Crocodile are both printed in a raised, rubberized material to good effect.
The shirt is form fitting and extremely lightweight since it is intended for use as active wear. We think that it would work well in a multitude of settings including casual office environments and for a night out.
On item of note is that the Lacoste Sport Long Sleeved T-Shirt uses French sizing. We suggest ordering it in a size down from your usual if you’d like the perfect fit.
BOSS HUGO BOSS Jogging Bottoms
The BOSS HUGO BOSS Jogging Bottoms can add a bit of bling to any gym or soccer training outing. They’re also great for lounging, beachside evening or leisurely days out in mild temperatures.
These lightweight pants are extremely comfortable and support movement in a variety of activities including sprinting. They dissipate perspiration quickly since they are made of a modern elastane / cotton blend. What else would you expect from a designer house such as HUGO BOSS?
The BOSS HUGO BOSS Jogging Bottoms will definitely catch the eyes of many wherever you wear them thanks to a well-done design. Their highlights are a series of bright blue details that include the BOSS HUGO BOSS logo on its upper left leg, bright blue inside pockets and bright blue drawstrings that are slightly offset from center. The pants carry the popular tapered jogging pants looks of nowadays in a looser fit.
