Corinthians 2019/20 Nike Home Kit

Brazilian giants Sport Club Corinthians Paulista have released their 2019/20 home kit from longtime outfitter Nike. The latest Timão (Great Team) primary jersey is inspired by legendary club and Brazil national team striker Ronaldo.

On March 4th, 2009, Ronaldo Fenômeno made his debut for Corinthians to usher in a new era in the club’s history. The three-time FIFA World Player of the year represented the team until he retired in 2011 winnng a Paulista Championship and the Copa do Brasil along the way.

Ten years later, Nike and Corinthians celebrate the club idol through the team’s 2019/20 home kit along with a multi-sport court called Arena Ronaldo.

“To launch the new Corinthians shirt, which is based on the first uniform I wore and with which I was a champion right away, is a reason for great satisfaction. It seems like it was yesterday, but it’s been ten years since I joined the bunch of crazy people,” said Ronaldo.

The v-collared shirt predominantly white with nine thin black vertical stripes on its front in a Ronaldo’s favored number 9 and his R9 personal logo.

The number 9 is printed above the Corinthians logo on the inside neckline. Ronaldo’s signature appears at bottom of the player numbers on the jersey. Black shorts and white socks complete the uniform.

“Ronaldo is undoubtedly one of the leading names in world football history and that was why it was the most shocking transfer of the decade. He proved to everyone that he still had a lot of football to play with a phenomenal performance, ” said Andrés Sanchez, President of Corinthians.

“This new uniform and arena represent the legacy of the player who, to this day, inspires a nation of more than 30 million,” Sanchez concluded.
