Review: Mainline Menswear

We’re refreshing our off the pitch wardrobe with some designer and classic attire pieces. Our choice of shop was UK-based clothier Mainline Menswear.

Mainline ships authentic menswear worldwide via their well-done website. Their prices are standard and comparable to other retailers based in the USA and Europe while their selection is well-curated and extremely extensive.

We found that you can outfit yourself in a range of styles from gym attire to casual street looks to supper club outfits by perusing what’s on offer. Just about every major brand that you can think of is on the Mainline website including athletic gear standards such as Nike and PUMA to high end brands like Versace and Emporio Armani.

Mainline Menswear’s expertise does seem to be in design clothing however. This is evident upon a first visit to their website where you’ll see designer brands highlighted.

Unlike so many similar retailers Mainline carries full ranges of the latest offering from all of the most respected fashion houses. After having a look hundreds of items we opted to kick off our spring with a blingy Versace Jeans short sleeve polo, a classy Armani Exchange slimfit button up shirt, and an all-time classic piece of Americana – the Levi’s reversible denim trucker jacket.

Our order was placed at Mainline Menswear on March 14th and shipped to us in the Southeastern USA on the same day via DHL. Mainline provided a shipping link that we could check for the status of our delivery. Everything arrived intact on March 18th. That’s a mere two business days later and fast than many domestic retailers including the infamous Amazon Prime and their late deliveries.

All of the items were received in their manufacturing packaging and in pristine condition. A couple of nice additions to the mix were Mainline printed catalogs (a lovely throwback to simpler times before smartphones took over the world) and a quite eye-catching gym bag that wouldn’t be out of place if it had Lacoste, Hugo Boss or EA7 printed on it.

While everyone has their own style we thought we’d jot down a few quick thoughts on what we ordered since we’re so enamored with them.

Versace Jean Short Sleeved Polo – Quite the eyecatcher, this shirt is ideal for a night out in warmer weather. It has a classic polo silhouette with Versace flash thanks to a shiny golden embroidered left breast logo and sparkle-infused gold collar and sleeve cuff trim.

Armani Exchange Slimfit Button Up Shirt – This shirt is ideal for a variety of settings from a business casual work environment to a nightclub. It has a tighter fit that shows off athletic physiques and slightly glossy fabric that really accentuates muscular builds. A brilliant touch is its hidden button row that ensures that the attention that the shirt garners is on the profile that it creates.

Levi’s Reversible Denim Trucker Jacket – Absolutely timeless and built to last forever with renowned Levi’s quality, this jacket can be the only one that you need until next winter. The Levi’s Trucker Jacket is American workwear that has transcended class, gender and international boundaries to become quintessential and iconic clothing. This incarnation is reversible and can be flipped over to become lumberjack or classic Grunge rock in vibe through its flannel inner lining.
