New Balance has officially revealed the new 2018/19 Celtic Football Club away kit, offering a modern design in tribute to the rich history of the club’s origins. The kit has been launched as part of the brand new campaign for 2018/19, “Only the Bold”, representing that community has always been a big part of Celtic FC. The Bold Bhoys have always been a family club; as one Club, they face every challenge, always boldly.
The new Bhoys kit has been engineered using innovative NB DRY technology. The jersey wicks moisture away from the skin to help keep players fresh and dry from first to final whistle. Showcasing the club’s Irish heritage, the Celtic Cross crest returns to the kit, an homage to the same design on the first ever Celtic jersey.
The Celtic 18/19 away shirt features a subtle tonal tartan design set against White and Eden Green, as well as top shoulder bonded tape, satin stitch appliqued club crest and a button flat knit collar with contrasting tipping.
Eden Green shorts complete the look, featuring a concealed stretch fabric insert which also runs down the side seam of the shirt. The hooped socks feature an elasticated ankle zone and 2×2 rib Achilles region with cushioned protection. An additional cushioned heel zone and vented cushioned footbed and toe section have been designed to help players play with power, comfort and extra support.
Celtic’s 2018/19 goalkeeper alternate kit has been engineered in line with the outfield players’ jerseys and is a bold Pink Glo with Black pattered sleeves and Black embroidered logo and crest. The kit is completed with Pink Glo shorts and socks, with a Black cuff to the lower sock.
General Manager of New Balance Football, Kenny McCallum said: “Bringing back the Celtic Cross has transformed this kit into something truly special. Alongside the tartan design, this kit shows the spirt of the club and its strong heritage. We know this will be popular with Celtic fans around the world and can’t wait to see their reaction.”
Celtic FC player Kieran Tierney, said: “The new kit looks fantastic. When you are playing away from home, you want to represent our great club the best you can. It really captures the spirit of Celtic and I can’t wait to wear it on the pitch for the first time, I’m sure our fans will love it too.”
