Manchester United 50th Anniversary adidas Jersey

In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the club winning the 1968 European Cup, adidas Football has released a special edition Manchester United jersey that is a modern replica of the kit worn by the Red Devils when they won the first of their now three European titles.

Like the 1968 shirt, the Manchester United 50th Anniversary adidas jersey is dark blue with a rounded neckline. The 1968 United crest is embroidered on its chest in gold.

In order to maintain the unbranded look of the 1968 kit, the adidas shoulder and sleeve stripes and chest logo are dark blue to blend in with the rest of the jersey.

The date of Manchester United’s historic win over Benfica at the old Wembley Stadium (May 29th, 1968) is repeated on the flanks of the pique fabric shirt.

United stars Paul Pogba, Juan Mata and Nemanja Matic acted as kit models for its launch event.
