New Balance have officially revealed the new 2018/19 Celtic Football Club home kit. The kit launches the brand new campaign for 2018/19, “Only the Bold”. The Scottish Premier League champions new primary shirt will be available at World Soccer Shop, UK Soccer Shop, Lovell Soccer, Pro:Direct Soccer, Subside Sports and Kitbag from May 18th.
The Bold Bhoys, as the Celtic team were known, have always been a family club, together and strong, as one, they face every challenge.
The kit has been engineered using innovative NB DRY technology. The Jersey wicks moisture away from the skin to help keep players fresh and dry from first to final whistle. The 2018/19 kit range takes its inspiration from the 115 years since the club first used hoops on the jersey.
The shirt features a bespoke tonal tartan design throughout the traditional Green and White hoops as well as top shoulder bonded tape, woven club crest with embroidered star and a contrasting tipped collar.
White shorts complete the look, featuring a concealed fabric insert which also runs down the side of the shirt. The hooped socks feature an elasticated ankle zone and 2×2 rib Achilles region with cushioned protection. An additional cushioned heel zone and vented cushioned footbed and toe section have been designed to help players play with power, comfort and extra support.
The goalkeeper kit has been engineered in line with the outfield players’ jerseys and is a bold Viper Yellow with Black pattered sleeves and Black embroidered logo and crest. The kit is completed with Viper Yellow shorts and socks, with a Black cuff to the lower sock.
General Manager of New Balance Football, Kenny McCallum said: “Every time we work with Celtic FC to design the club’s kit collection, we work hard to represent the iconic history of the club and their relentless performance on the pitch. This new kit is engineered for top performance on the pitch and to capture the history of the club and the fans that support it. It’s going to be great to see it on and off the pitch”.
Celtic FC captain Scott Brown, said: “That moment when you first try on the new kit is always really exciting. Everything from the design to the inspiration behind the kit is absolutely spot on this year. For more than ten years I have had the honour of pulling on the famous Celtic jersey, as a Celtic fan and player I can’t wait to play in this new kit and see how it goes down with our supporters.”
