adidas is continuing the release of a series of retro-styled kits for its biggest sponsored club with the Manchester United 2018 Icon Jersey. Its release follows that of a similar shirt for Real Madrid last week.
The Manchester United 2018 Icon Jersey uses a similar 1960s football shirt design to the Real Madrid kit. It is in the famed home red of the record twenty-time English Premier League / First Division champions.
It has a wide, ribbed crewneck collar with thin red stripe running through its middle. The kit’s sleeves match its collar. The Icon Jersey uses adidas’ modern logo as opposed to its vintage adidas Orginials Trefoil and the current Manchester United crest. It is made of a polyester / cotton blend.
