With Barclays Premier League football secured for a fifth consecutive season, Crystal Palace Football Club have revealed their 2017/18 home kit from technical partner Macron.
The Eagles will debut the new uniform during their summer pre-season campaign that already includes a meeting with German Bundesliga outfit Schalke 04 at Selhurst Park on August 5th.
The Crystal Palace 17/18 Macron home kit sees the club back in their traditional red and blue stripes. The shirt features a new modern v-neck design from Macron with detailing that includes yellow at the rear collar and sleeve cuffs.
The names of South London’s five boroughs (Bromley, Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark) are printed vertically on the lower areas of the stripes on the jersey’s back. “CRYSTAL PALACE F.C.” is embroidered in yellow on the jersey’s outside, upper back.
Palace stars Christian Benteke, Wilfried Zaha, Scott Dann, Jason Puncheon and Andros Townsend modeled the new kit at Crystal Palace Park’s “secret subway”. The structure is one of the last remnants of The Crystal Palace exhibition house that burned down in 1936.
Crystal Palace FC Chairman Steve Parish commented, “We are incredibly proud of our south London roots and wanted to celebrate this in our new home kit design.”
