Olympique Lyon 2017/18 adidas Home and Away Kits

Olympique Lyonnais have unveiled their 2017/18 adidas home and away kits ahead of Thursday’s UEFA Europa League semi-final clash with Ajax at the Parc OL.

Available soon at World Soccer Shop, Subside Sports, UK Soccer Shop, Lovell Soccer and Kitbag, the Olympique Lyon 17/18 jerseys use new shirt designs from adidas. Both are inspired by the kits worn by Les Gones (The Kids) when they won their first Coupe de France title at the end of the 1963/64 season.

The Olympique Lyon 2017/18 home kit maintains the club’s traditional primary white the red and blue of the OL crest prominently represented via chest bands. The v-neck kit has light gray adidas shoulder stripes and sleeve cuffs. A red and blue print with the text “Nous sommes l’Olympique Lyonnais” appears on the lower right corner of the shirt.

Olympique Lyon’s 17/18 away kit is a crewneck, dark blue affair with a series of red horizontal lines running from its mid-chest to waist line. The width of the stripes increase towards the hem. The stripes are meant to recall the city of Lyon’s annual Festival of Lights (Fête des lumières).

Lyon will debut their 2017/18 adidas home kit when they host Mario Balotelli and OGC Nice in the final round of French Ligue 1 action on May 20th.
