Kawasaki Frontale 2017 PUMA Kits

Three-time Japanese J1 League champions Kawasaki Frontale have revealed their 2017 PUMA home, away and AFC Champions League kits.

The shirts were unveiled by the club on Saturday using the theme “Paint It Blue”. The concept is in reference to the popular club’s traditional sky blue primary kits and reflected in the fact that their 2017 home uniform features a light blue jersey, shorts and socks. The black of the Kawasaki Frontale crest details the home strip throughout along with a series of black and white pinstripes.

Frontale’s 2017 Champions League home jersey uses the same new PUMA kit design as the J1 League shirt. It has a light blue base with a water graphic perhaps inspired by Kawasaki’s location on the Pacific Ocean. Its sleeves are mainly black.

The Kawasaki Frontale 2017 away jersey is mainly white with a paint splatter graphic in light blue and gray on its left front. Its collar and sleeve cuffs are black the the latter having sky blue trim.

The PUMA template used for all three kits includes a modern update of sportswear giant’s T7 shoulder striping made up of a series of dots that add a gradient effect. A chevron-shaped break in the stripe contains the PUMA Cat logo.

Kawasakik Frontale kick off their 2017 campaign with a Champions League meeting with South Korea’s Suwon Bluewings on February 22nd.
