Irish sportswear firm O’Neills have launched the Democratic Republic of the Congo (République démocratique du Congo) Africa Cup of Nations 2017 kits ahead of the team’s tournament opener versus Morocco on Monday.

The Leopards will wear a primary jersey that cleverly incorporates the light blue, red and yellow of the DR Congo national flag. The flag is embroidered on the left breast of the shirt while the Fédération Congolaise de Football-Association (FECOFA) crest appears on the right. A tonal outline of DR Congo appears on the blue section of the kit with an embossed FECOFA badge on it.

The Democratic Republic of Congo AFCON 2017 O’Neills away jersey uses the same design as the home shirt with a white base. It is detailed in light blue via lines on its chest, sleeves and upper back along with a front collar insert. Both kits will be available at Subside Sports

The first sub-Saharan African team to qualify for the FIFA World Cup (1974 as Zaire), DR Congo placed has the like of Dieumerci Mbokani (Hull City), Chancel Mbemba (Newcastle United) and Cédric Bakambu (Villarreal) on their AFCON 2017 squad.
