Longtime Federación Ecuatoriana de Fútbol (FEF) technical partner Marathon Sports has released reissued versions of the home kits worn by Ecuador from 1994 to 2006.
The collection is called the “Leyendas Por Siempre” (Legends Forever) range and features modernized versions of 12 years of La Tricolors primary jerseys. Each is identical to their original renditions but have been updated to use modern fabrics and slimmer fits (gone are the oversized sleeves and looser fits of the 1990s and early 2000s).
The Ecuador Leyendas Por Siempre are the first four produced by Marathon for the FEF. The Ecuadorian men’s national team rose to international prominence in them as they qualified for the 2002 and 2006 FIFA World Cups. The side made the Round of 16 their second time around and has produced stars such as Antonio Valencia (Manchester United) and Jefferson Montero (Swansea City).
