Partly owned by La Liga team Atlético Madrid, Atlético de Kolkata is currently on top of the Indian Super League.
The latest club of well-known players such as Hélder Postiga (formerly of FC Porto and Valencia), Borja Fernández (a one-time Real Madrid first teamer) and Iain Hume (formerly of Leicester City), the 2014 ISL champions are in unbranded kits for the second season in a row.
Worn for the majority of their seven league matches to day, the Atlético de Kolkata 2016/17 home kit uses the red and white stripes of the Spanish counterparts. The stripes end at a v-shape in the upper chest to leave the shoulder area of the jersey all white. The shirt’s collar and sleeve cuffs are blue. Atlético has worn the kit with both blue and white shorts over the past few weeks.
The Atlético de Kolkata 16/17 away kit is dark red with a novel block of gray running along its front and back. The shirt has a standing gray collar and gray sleeve cuffs. It is accompanied by red shorts and socks that are both accented with gray.
