Athletic Bilbao 2016/17 Nike Home and Away Kits

Athletic Club de Bilbao have launched their Nike home and away kits for their 2016/17 Spanish La Liga, Copa del Rey and UEFA Europa League seasons. Both will be available at World Soccer Shop, UK Soccer Shop, Subside Sports and Kitbag.

The new Athletic Bilbao home jersey see the return of Los Leones (The Lions) thinner red and white stripes, a signature feature favored by the club since 1910, on both the body and sleeves. The design also incorporates a small Basque flag, the Ikurriña, on the back of the neck rib. A large area of red is used for player names and numbering on the back of the shirt.

The sides of the kit have a red stripe that runs the length of the shirt and black shorts. Expanding when the player is in motion, the stripe maximizes ventilation and reveals a flash of white underneath.

Black socks, with a tonal linear graphic on the calf to accentuate speed complete the Basque team’s 16/17 primary uniform.

The Athletic Club de Bilbao´s away kit for the 2016/17 season proudly blends red, green and white colors. As with the home jersey, the Ikurriña is printed on the outside rear collar area. The dark green sleeves and shoulders of the shirt contrast with the lighter green of the rest of the kit.

Green shorts and socks with red detailing complete the Athletic Bilbao away uniform.
