Atlético de Madrid 2016/17 Nike Home and Away Kits

UEFA Champions League runners-ups for two of the last three seasons, Club Atlético de Madrid today revealed their 2016/17 Nike home and away kits featuring Dri-FIT technology. They will be available at World Soccer Shop, Kitbag, UK Soccer Shop and Subside Sports.

The stylish body of the Atlético Madrid 2016/17 home shirt features three broad red stripes on a white background to echo both the shirt from the 1966/67 season, and the bold and vibrant stripes on the seats on the upper levels at the Estadio Vicente Calderon. This season will mark Atletico’s 50th Anniversary at the Calderon. The sleeves and shoulders are a contrasting bold and clean red to emphasize the power of the shoulder area.

“Wearing this new kit, that pays tribute to such an important year for the team, is a great honour and I am sure it will be an inspiration for all of us throughout this new season,” says midfielder Saul.

The sides of the home kit have a blue stripe that runs the length of the shirt and shorts. Expanding when the player is in motion, the stripe maximizes ventilation and reveals a subtle flash of red underneath. Blue socks, with a red linear graphic on the calf to accentuate speed complete the new Atlético de Madrid Nike home uniform.

Atlético Madrid’s 16/17 Nike away kit is predominantly black with crew-neck collar. As with the home shirt, a navy blue band appears at the back of the collar. A tonal club crest and a Spanish national flag emblazoned with ‘Atlético’ are printed on the inside neck area. The sides of the strip have a navy blue stripe that runs its length. The stripes expands to provide ventilates and reveals a flash of yellow underneath. Yellow socks with a navy blue linear graphic add the finishing touches to Spanish La Liga club’s alternate kit.
