Leicester City FC 2016/17 PUMA Third Kit

Leicester City FC unveiled their 2016/17 third it during their introduction of new Nigerian international Ahmed Musa as a Foxes player on Friday.

Called the club’s alternative away kit, the new shirt will be worn as an alternate to the Premier League champions 2016/17 home and away uniforms during their title defense, FA Cup, League Cup and UEFA Champions League runs next season. It will be on sale at World Soccer Shop, Kitbag, Subside Sports, Lovell Soccer and UK Soccer Shop from August 5th.

Inspired by Leicester’s 1983/84 away kit, the new jersey features a new rounded neck PUMA design. It is predominantly white with pinstripes in LCFC’s primary blue on its front. There is also blue detailing on the back part of the shirt’s neckline. The classic-looking kit is matched with mainly white pants and shorts for a clean look.

Winger Marc Albrighton commented:“The white kit is beautiful, it’s got the pinstripes which is a bit different to what we’ve had in previous years and I think the extra little touches make it look pretty special, we’re looking forward to wearing it. As well as playing the part you’ve got to look the part, so I think PUMA have done a good job.”

With their Premier League-winning side still intact and several reinforcements signed, Leicester City return to action later this month with friendlies against Celtic FC, PSG and FC Barcelona lined up. They meet Manchester United in the FA Community Shield on August 7.
