Santa Cruz Futebol Clube will play in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A for the first time in ten years following an incredible ascent through Brazil’s lower leagues that saw them rise up from the country’s fourth to first tier of soccer in just five years.
Currently in the midst of their Campeonato Pernambucano ( Pernambuco State Championship), Santa Cruz recently unveiled their 2016 home and away kits from São Paulo-based Penalty.
The Santa Cruz 2016 home jersey is in the customary red and black hoops of the club that produced World Cup winners Rivaldo and Ricardo Rocha. This year’s shirt includes a white polo collar with a neck insert. The stripes on the kit have been given a paint effect through uneven borders.
Santa Cruz’ 2016 Penalty away shirt is mainly white. Bands of black and red run feature prominently along its chest and match with stripes above its sleeve cuff. The kit has a v-shaped collar that ends with a large neck insert.
The Santa Cruz 2016 Penalty home and away kits have both seen match action already during the Recife-based club’s state championship run.
