Sagan Tosu FC launched their 2016 New Balance home and away kits without much fanfare ahead of next weekend’s Japanese J1 League season opener against Avispa Fukuoka.
The jerseys introduce a design from New Balance Football featuring a classy foldover collar with a one button placket. A series of stripes on the collars are in a contrasting colar with the rest of the shirt. Football shirt fans may find the look of the kits reminiscent to that of the Italy 2012/14 home kit.
The Sagan Tosu 2016 home jersey is in the team’s distinctive first choice bright blue, pink and white colorway. An eye-catching series of stripes with a gradient effect run along its lower back and flanks.
Sagan Tosu’s 2016 away shirt uses a white base. A series of hoops made up of pink and blue sections run along its front. The bands are comprised of unevenly spaced pinstripes.
Sagan Tosu will appear in Japan’s top division of soccer for the fift row in succession in 2016 after spending campaigning in J2 for most of their nineteen year history.
