Spotted on the feel of the likes of Jesus Navas (Manchester City) and Álvaro Negredo (Valencia), the Furon is New Balance Football’s first speed boot.
Now available at Lovell Soccer, the boot is available is several colorways including the Deep Orchid/Serene Green look that you see in our pictures. This is a World Exclusive up-close boot at this innovative boot along with its details about its features.
The New Balance Furon soccer boot uses combination of ultralight FantomFit engineered high energy return synthetic/mesh upper cage and REVlite footbed built into the Furon Pro FG. It has a burrito tongue construction, asymmetrical internal heel counter, lightweight nylon outsole with TPU “Acceleration Zone,” biomechanical stud placement and additional wide fit.
NB says that Furon players need to be in the right place at the right time. They burst into space; ghosting past markers, first to the ball every time. They can take advantage of an engineered high energy return upper for explosive release velocity, and a stiffened soleplate for exceptional energy return and unparalleled acceleration. Also built into the boot is ultra-directional stud design for unrivalled straight-line speed.
Furon players receive outstanding strength and support from the ultralight Fantom Fit cage. A Fixed Revlite insock provides superior cushioning and a pro-form last gives unsurpassed feel and unbelievable comfort. Furon players show no mercy. They react first to define the match outcome. They score from nowhere and everywhere with deadly accuracy; striking cleanly and quickly.
Straight-line speed and taking chances are characteristics that New Balance football player Adnan Januzaj has in abundance. Januzaj spoke about the boot that he has been testing for some time: “What has been clear right from the start is that New Balance set out to design a boot to help attacking payers – I have worked closely with them from the original prototype to ensure they achieve this. This boot feels like it’s been made especially for me and I know others will feel the same way.”
