Former Copa do Brasil champions Esporte Clube Juventude have switched kit providers from Dresch to Kappa Sport for their 2016 Campeonato Brasileiro, Campeonato Gaúcho and domestic cup seasons.
The team that featured Brazilian internationals Cafu, Doni and Thiago Silva early in their careers showcased its 2016 Kappa home and away kits, training and leisure ranges at a special event last week. Current Juventude players Pereira, Heverton, Helder, Duda, Lucas, Douglas Silva and Raul modeled the new collection for the launch event.
The EC Juventude 2016 home and away kits both use a Y-neck design that Kappa has used for the shirts of many of its sponsored teams during the 2015/16 football season. Italy’s Torino, England’s Leeds United and Germany’s Borussia Mönchengladbach are among the clubs wearing wearing jerseys based on the template.
The Juventude 2016 Kappa home shirt has the team’s traditional green stripes on its front and an all green back to ensure clear visibility of player names and numbers. The away kit is all white with a green collar and sleeve cuffs. Both will see action in January when the Série C side kicks off its 2016 state championship run.
